Contact NDT inspections by drone

Industrial inspections without scaffolding or unnecessary downtime

Using the Voliro T drone, we perform contact measurements on hard-to-reach structures. Faster, safer and with minimal disruption to operations.

Why drone inspections

Accurate data without hazardous work at height

Voliro T is not an ordinary camera drone. It establishes stable contact with a structure, applies a measurement probe and collects data where scaffolding or rope-access personnel were previously required.

01

Less downtime

Selected inspections can be carried out during operation and without extensive access preparation.

02

Greater safety

The technician stays on the ground while the drone approaches the structure and performs contact measurements at height.

03

Faster decisions

Measured values are available in real time and can be used immediately for maintenance planning.

Inspection services

One platform. Seven measurement capabilities.

For every project, we select the right sensor based on the material, surface, temperature and inspection objective. We always confirm the measurement scope before execution.

UT01

Ultrasonic thickness testing

Precise wall thickness measurement from 2 to 150 mm with a live A-scan available throughout the inspection.

How we work

From inspection brief to actionable data

We first verify whether Voliro technology is suitable for your asset and measurement objective.

01

Scope assessment

We review the asset, measurement objectives, access conditions and the appropriate inspection method.

02

Inspection planning

We prepare the flight plan, sensors, safety procedure and measurement points.

03

On-site measurement

We monitor data in real time. The drone operates at height and in GPS-denied environments.

04

Data delivery

We deliver the measured data and supporting materials ready for further evaluation and reporting.

Frequently asked questions

We start by assessing feasibility

Is a shutdown required?+

Not always. High-Temperature UT enables measurements on operating equipment up to 260 °C, while other methods can be deployed with minimal operational restrictions depending on the conditions.

Can you inspect indoors?+

Yes. LiDAR, optical flow and assisted flight modes enable work in GPS-denied environments, including inside storage tanks and process facilities.

What information do you need for an assessment?+

Please describe the asset, required measurement, approximate scope, surface condition, operating temperature and any available information about the inspection site.

No-obligation consultation

Send us the asset. We will tell you whether a drone inspection makes sense.

Describe the equipment and desired outcome. A photograph, drawing or short video of the site will help with the initial assessment.
